Readings:
The first two readings are exercpts from Ramachandran's book "Phantoms in the Brain". The first is about Alienhand syndrome caused by damage to the corpus callosum.

Next we read about Capgras syndrome in which loved ones appear to the patient as imposters!

The last reading shows just what you can do with only a brainstem through the story of Mike the Headless Chicken (link to wikipedia).
